Factored form to Standard form

To convert factored form equations to satndard form, you have to expand and simplify.

Expand & Simplify

Example

Y = 2(x + 3) (x - 6)

Expand the co-efficient with EVERYTHING in the first brackets

Multiply the entire first bracket with the second

Collect like terms

Put a bracket around the numbers

This is how Y = 2(x + 3) (x - 6) looks like in standard form. To check factor the standard equation.
